"To my perfectly imperfect Batch of 2025" — this one's for us.

Kal 30 May, raat ke 11:30 baje, saare doston ne pen uthai… kyun? Kyunki likhni thi ek speech. Jo bolni toh mujhe thi, lekin excited mere saare dost the—wo dost jo meri khushiyon mein khush hote hain. Raat ke 3 baje tak jaakar, meri speech prepare karne waale wo log...

Ye mere sabse khubsurat tofon mein se ek hai, jo mujhe college ne diya hai.

Jab sabne dheere dheere college ki yaadon ka box khola, toh sabse pehli cheez yaad aayi—

yaad hai jab assignments se pareshaan ho jaate the, toh kehte the,

"Kab khatam hogi ye college life?"

And today, when we started writing this farewell speech, all we could think was—

"Kaash thoda time aur mil jaata."

ree

Ek baar phir se doston ke saath night canteen ke parathe kha lete,

Nescafe ki koi cold coffee le aate,

aur bas aakhri baar, Utkansh mein bhangra kar paate.

Ek doosre ki happiness ko dekh kar khush hone wale wo college ke dost,

khushiyon ka asli matlab seekha gaye.

Coming to my beloved Computer Science and Engineering

the batch with the highest expectations, having students with the top percentiles in JEE Mains,

expected to bag the best placements…

Not just expected—but we proved it. The best placement results in 2025 came from CSE.

Cheers to CSE! 🥂

ree

But beyond numbers, CSE is filled with talented people.

We’ve shown this talent on multiple occasions—

we can literally make any project in the world ,one night, before the submission

prepare for interviews by finishing playlists of 100 DSA questions and 5 core subjects in a single evening.

pass our favorite subject computer networks with flying colours

Jokes apart, aise moments humein realize karwate hain ki

we are actually capable of doing a lot—bas apne comfort zone se bahar nikalna padta hai.

And yes, it’s true: nothing is impossible when you make up your mind.

We had so many happy moments—and so many fights too.

but the evergreen fight of CSE was,

Arey, doosre section mein accha padha rahe hain yaar…”, dusra section bhi yahi bolra hai,

Nahi yaar, paper toh tumhare waale bana rahe hain…

But then one day, that fight came to an end.

When both sections sat down for a group study session together,

we realized—yeh problem nahi thi.

It was an opportunity—to know the other section better,

to make friends,

and to see how much better we can perform with teamwork and unity.

From every friendship—some that blossomed and some that faded—I discovered the true meaning of connection, trust, and letting go.

From every interview rejection, I realized that hard work doesn't always guarantee success—sometimes, it's about timing, fate, and the luck written in the stars.

Dane-dane pe likha hai khane wale ka naam.

But the most important part from all of this was knowing how to handle things when sometimes your fate doesn’t allow you.

ree

The path to any problem in life has the first step of being patient and having faith in yourself.

Any problem—whether it was a job interview, semester exams, or an assignment to be submitted before the deadline—

our mind gets filled with a hustle of thoughts:

"Will I be able to crack the interview?"

"Will I be able to complete the assignment?"

We panic and end up taking more time.

But in all this hustle of thoughts, we forget the most important part:

"Solution to every problem lies in the problem itself. We just need to have the patience to see it and faith in ourselves to believe that we can do it."

A big thank you to the professors of NIT Jalandhar—our teachers who were equally part of this journey.

Whatever knowledge we have today—we owe it to you.

And wherever we go, we will always be proud to be known as students of NIT Jalandhar.

ree

And I can never forget one of the most important parts of my journey—

serving as a Placement Representative in the Training and Placement Cell.

It taught me what leadership truly means,

what professionalism looks like,

when to stay within rules, and when to step outside them with wisdom and empathy.

The TPO improved a lot over time, and honestly, the best thing about our college was that it was always open to student ideas and feedback.

ree

We may not have been perfect, but what mattered most was the effort to keep improving.

I can’t forget to mention Prayaas—the heart of our campus.

An organization dedicated to teaching children from nearby villages.

Heartfelt appreciation to all the students who took time out to teach those little ones.

Because no matter what we have, we must find a way to give back to the world.

And yes—

It was very difficult to bring all 4 years into a 5-minute speech.

Thank you, NIT Jalandhar, for making me who i am today , and teaching me ,

“Babumoshai, zindagi lambi nahi, badi honi chahiye.”
